Speak...

Learning a language is fun but tough, it's not only because of the difficult for grammar and vocabulary, but also there are lot of culture stuff that we got to know. If you are interested in any countries, no matter the food, the people, the culture, the first thing that you want to do is to learn their language. For me, I will choose Korean as my third language.

I have not been to Korea before, but as a foreign student, I have dozens of Korean friends in my U.S life. All of them they are really funny and kind. Beside that I love to watch Korean TV show such as "Running Man", and I have lot of Korean song in my car, Big-bang is one of my favorite band. Nowadays the K-pop music is very popular that they have really high hits on YouTube as well. Further more, I love Korean food, especially the Korean BBQ. I always go to the K-BBQ restaurant for dinner, about 3 times in a week. Because of these factors I really want to study Korean. I want to watch the TV show without the Chinese subtitle, I want to learn the Korean song as well, and for the most important reason, I want to chat with my Korean friend by using Korean, and I believe that will be a lot of fun.

My first impressions of California

After I got my air ticket from Shanghai to L.A on Jan. 15th, I know America are not far to me anymore. After 12 hours flying, I stepped on the LAX which is the first time I have stepped on the U.S land. It was a cold night. It is really cold, but I still felt hot inside. Before I came to America, I had watched too many America movie, played too many America video games; however, I can not control my self from excited. The air smells different neither like China nor Malaysia. My uncle who lived in Irvine picked me up and drove me to the campus. The night in California is quiet, and there are only few cars on the freeway too. Suddently I felt lonely and a little bit anxous; I missed the night life in Malaysia, and I missed the food in China. After one night in campus, I got up, and I did not know what should I do, and there are no one comes over to my place. Anyway, my first impression of California is-"lost".

This is all you need to know about Patrick

I was born in December 1986 which is a really cold winter in Shanghai China. Because of the "great" Chinese goverment policy I am the only child in my family. My parents are all doing their business that I have got extra free time than other kids. My childhood is wonderful, I had tried to learn almost everything that I want to and I found that music is the coolest thing that I want to do. I went to an art primary school and start learning music. I have learned alot of instruments until I graduate from my highschool, piano, keyboard, trumpet and I was really enjoy it.

The music life did not last long, after I graduated from my highschool, my parents stopped me playing music because they want me to takecare my family business. For that reason I have been sent to Malaysia for the bachelor's degree in Accounting&Finance Major with full of discontent. But it did not make me to give up playing music, I started to learn guitar and drums in my spare time, and I made a rock band in our campus. We play our own music, although we are not a "pro", it's really unforgettable time that we had. After 3years university life, our skills are improving, thus we need to pay more for some new instrument, new speaker and HIFI device which is really expensive for a student. After we grauated from university, we tried to run our business on used car transaction and international money transfer, it was really hard to run a business as a foreign student, every members worked really hard. 1 year later, we have our own car club and our guitar solo guy opened a bar in Kuala lumpur.

I left Malaysia by the end of  2011 because I did not think I will live there forever. And it is time to move on. It was only cost me 10days to decide to come to America. My plan is to finish MBA in CSUF, and take a part of my mom's company which focused on the international automobil's parts transaction in US, "earn the dollar, then spend them in China." That's what I told to my parents.

This is me, I have my rebellious music character inside, and easygoing for all of my friends. Feel free to talk to me, then we may can hangout someday.
